WoodCreek Jr. High School opened its doors to many new and excited students, parents and staff in September 2008. The newly constructed building boasts a 2-story structure housing over 900 students for its first school year. The Dedication for the school was celebrated on Tuesday, November 18th to a very full house consisting of students, parents, faculty, the PTA board members and special guests in our community, including Katy's own Mayor Don Elder, Jr., KISD Superintendent Alton Frailey, and many more. The WCJH Choir, Orchestra and student pianists entertained the crowd for the night. Principal Patti Shafer's family traveled long distances to celebrate and support her for this special dedication.
